Moving In

The hard part is behind you, but there are a few more steps to complete before you can move in to your new home

6.1 Final Inspection
A day ahead or hours before you take possession of the property, we'll do one last inspection together to make sure everything is in order.

6.2 Utilities and Services
Consider Macy & McKee and Burgdorff your personal assistant while making your move. We can change or setup your utilities and other home services for you.  We can make certain the newspaper is at your new doorstep Day #1, and the phone rings into the right number. We can help arrange for the trees to be trimmed, the carpets cleaned, the windows washed, and the cable hooked up. This is what we call Select Lifestyle Services.

6.3 Closing
When your transaction is nearly completed, your attorney will provide you with a "closing statement" that sets forth all of the financial details of your home purchase. As the last step in the buying process, your attorney will have you sign the final documents, including loan documents ("deeds of trust"). When everything is complete, the attorney will record the transaction for you at the appropriate County Assessor's Office, and you will become the official new owner.
